The Annual Crops Department aims at developing technologies for improving food security and alleviating poverty of resource poor farmers in Cameroon. It does this by:
? Developing high-yielding varieties of all mandate food crops grown in the country;
? Finding solutions for food crop diseases and pests;
? Improving food crop-based farming systems, and
? Developing food-processing techniques to add value and improve the shelf lives of food crops so as to increase farm revenues of growers.
